My name is Allie Hedderly-Smith. I'm an aspiring writer and I guess an art hobbyist. I spend way too much of my life reading webcomics. I also collect pennies for some reason. Welcome to my blog!
So I'm a sophomore in high school right now, and because I'm kind of worried about college stuff (and also just my writing career - like, how the hell does one build up a writing career?), I've decided that the main purpose of this blog - for now, at least - is to be my writing portfolio.
However, I also post photography, drawings, readings, random happenings, and other miscellanneous stuff. So if you happen to be looking for only the portfolio part of this blog, look here. (Or click the "writing portfolio" tag at the end of a portfolio post. Same thing.)

- My favorite story I've written is currently Locks and Keys
- I want to major in Creative Writing in college
- I do not know where I'd like to go to college
- I'd like to specialize in YA Fiction novels and short stories
- My favorite authors are John Green and Rainbow Rowell (no, I have not read the-blue-book-with-the-yellow-sticky-notes-that-I-cannot-remember-the-name-of, but I will)
- I live in Park City, Utah
- Biology > Physics + Chem (never actually taken chem, though)
- Film Photography > Digital Photography (but then again, I don't understand photoshop, so...)
- Short films are like the cooliest
- Vivian Maier was a very talented lady
- French is very pretty, as is France I assume (never been), but I will not buy anything with the Eiffel Tower on it
- I'm trying to learn coding, but am not very good at it
- I have a cat
- I have a dog
- I am a cat person (sorry, dog. I still love you.)
- I love poetry but suck at writing it
- I see no reason not to convert the US to the metric system. Come on, guys, really. You're just making things hard for yourselves.

- My favorite color is turquoise.
